UFC lightweight contenders, Beneil Dariush and Mateusz Gamrot are set to meet at UFC 280 on October 22 in Abu Dhabi.
ESPN's Brett Okamoto was the first to report the news of the matchup being finalized for the promotion's fall pay-per-view. Dariush is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak and is coming off of a unanimous decision win over former interim UFC lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson, back at UFC 262 in May 2021. Gamrot meanwhile is 4-0 in his last four Octagon appearances and will try to build on a unanimous decision victory over Arman Tsarukyan at UFC Vegas 57.
