Whilst we are still some way off from hearing the dulcet tones of Mariah Carey every time we go to the store, there’s no denying that the end of the year is fast approaching. In just a few months’ time we will be signing off the year, making our resolutions and looking forward to (or dreading) a January presidential inauguration.
In terms of wrestling though, the WWE has plenty to offer between now and then with several Pay-Per-Views (PPVs) and special events scheduled to tantalise fans and send the betting markets into overdrive. So you don’t miss out, we’ve put together this handy guide to some of the best upcoming WWE events between now and January 1, 2025.
WWE Crown Jewel
Where? Mohammed Abdo Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
When? November 2, 2024
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 10 years you will be well aware of Saudi Arabia’s international efforts to effectively buy top level sports. Spanish soccer’s Super Cup, the FIFA World Cup and multiple top level boxing bouts have all been staged – or are set to be staged in – in the Middle Eastern country.
One of the earliest sports to accept the Saudi offer of a cash injection for a temporary relocation was professional wrestling. In the Spring of 2018 the WWE signed a 10-year strategic multiplatform partnership with Saudi’s Ministry of Sport.
One of the big tickets items in this deal is the Crown Jewel event, which is due to be held at the beginning of November in Riyadh and will mark the 12th WWE event in the country since the signing of the aforementioned deal in 2018.
The event will air on PPV around the world and be available to livestream on Peacock here in the United States and on the WWE Network in selected countries around the globe. The wrestlers featured will be from the Raw and SmackDown divisions.
At the time of writing we are three days from the announcement of who will be fighting at the Crown Jewel, with the details set to be shared at WWE Bad Blood on October 5 in Georgia, so if you’re reading this in the future, you know more than us!

Survivor Series: War Games
Where? Rogers Arena, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
When? November 30, 2024
This is the big one in our mind. Held annually since 1987 to coincide with Thanksgiving, the Survivor Series is one of the most sacred events in the wrestling calendar. It’s one of “The Big Five” for a reason and is an event that has provided us with some of our favourite wrestling moments of all-time.
Like in 1998 when The Rock joined forces with Mr. McMahon to become the corporate champion, or the first and most anticipated showdown between Team Raw and Team SmackDown in 2005. It’s also an event that has introduced us to some iconic wrestlers like Kurt Angle, who beat Shawn Stasiak after arrogantly striding into the ring in 1999.
This year’s event will be held in Vancouver for the first time ending an 8 year absence in Canada for the event, being last held in Toronto back in 2016. It will be the third instalment of the series since the introduction of the War Games format and will feature fighters from Raw and SmackDown facing off against one another in a team based fight in a steel cage. Just thinking about it is enough to pump you full of excitement and anticipation.
Survivor Series 2024 will be WWE’s last final main roster PPV and livestreaming event to be broadcast on its own network as the organisation deal with Netflix is set to come into effect in January of next year.
