George Foreman, the legendary heavyweight boxing champion and entrepreneur, passed away at 76. In his career, Foreman won an Olympic gold medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He had his big break as a professional boxer in 1973 when he defeated Joe Frazier for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship. He would lose the gold to Muhammad Ali in 1974 during the "Rumble in the Jungle" in Zaire.
Foreman initially retired from boxing in 1977 but returned 10 years later in 1987 and continued boxing for another decade, capturing multiple Heavyweight Championships. In 1994, he defeated Michael Moorer for the WBA and IBF Heavyweight Championships. He still holds the record as the oldest man to win Heavyweight Championships in boxing. He retired with an overall record of 76 wins (68 by knockout) and 5 losses.
Beyond his boxing accomplishments, Foreman became a successful entrepreneur, most notably with the George Foreman Grill.
