UFC 208 is now in the books and with all but one of the fights going to a decision, it was considered one of the least entertaining shows the UFC has put on in quite awhile by many pundits.
The show did have it’s moments of controversy, most notably the illegal strikes thrown after the bell in two straight rounds by UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine De Randamie in her bout against Holly Holm. Also, there was a controversial decision that saw former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva defeat Derek Brunson.
Former UFC Heavyweight Division contender Brendan Schaub has retired from MMA, as he’s currently hosting The Fighter & The Kid podcast with Bryan Callen and continuing his stand-up career. However, he also checked out the UFC 208 event and after the show concluded, issued the following warning on Twitter to all MMA fighters who compete in New York:
Also, if I was a champion or contender I would NOT fight in New York. They clearly are not ready for this level of mixed martial arts.

Referee Todd Anderson drew the ire of many after his flubs in the aforementioned UFC 208 main event.
Schaub last competed at UFC 181 in December 2014, where he suffered a first round TKO loss to Travis Browne.
