The British Boxing Board of Control will be investigating the scoring of Undisputed junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor's controversial split-decision victory over Jack Catterall this past weekend.
The council released an official statement via the following tweet, revealing that they will be looking into the scoring of the bout and specifically the scorecards from judges Ian John-Lewis and Victor Loughlin who awarded the decision to Taylor.

Taylor also released a statement himself via a post to his official Instagram account, where he addressed the controversy and vitriol surrounding the decision, while also reaffirming his position that he believes he rightfully won the fight against Catterall.
