Carla Esparza Shrugs Off Zhang Weili's Dismissal Of Her Skills Ahead Of UFC 281: "I'm Going In There With My Best Game"

UFC strawweight champion, Carla Esparza, isn't worried about former champ, Zhang Weili, dismissing her skills.

Esparza spoke with reporters at the media day for this Saturday night's UFC 281 pay-per-view event in New York City ahead of her matchup with Weili and responded to the 33-year-old's claims that she's the more well-rounded fighter of the two while adding that she fears nothing about Esparza's game.

“I think probably a lot of people have felt that about my game, but it doesn’t really matter what she thinks or what she fears,” Esparza said (h/t MMA Junkie). “I’m going in there with my best game, and this is probably one of the best camps I’ve had. I’m just ready to go in there the best me and prove the world wrong, I guess. I think overall she has a relatively – I wouldn’t say basic, but there’s nothing super unique. Just her style is she’s very powerful and very strong. Overall I feel confident going into the fight that I’m not gonna see anything too crazy out of the box.”
