Tomorrow’s UFC Vegas 12 card has undergone a late change as Charlie Ontiveros replaces Makhmud Muradov against Kevin Holland.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, citing undisclosed reasons for why Muradov was removed from the card.
Holland (19-5-0) enters the contest riding a three-fight winning streak, picking up wins over Anthony Hernandez, Joaquin Buckley and Darren Stewart. Holland has not been defeated in over a year with that last loss coming to Brendan Allen at UFC Fight Night Boston. Holland also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 9, defeating Will Santiago Jr. by unanimous decision.
Ontiveros (11-6-0) is making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a two bout winning streak. Ontiveros is competing for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout took place in December of 2019. Ontiveros has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Vegas 12 takes place on Saturday, October 31 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
