Charlie Ontiveros Stretchered Out At UFC Vegas 12, Dana White Says “The Kid’s 100 Percent” Healthy

Charlie Ontiveros made his UFC debut at UFC Vegas 12 and was stretchered out of the UFC Apex after getting taken down by Kevin Holland, but UFC President Dana White insists that the fighter is fine.

White says that Ontiveros is 100 percent fine, but the UFC took every precaution to make sure the fighter was OK in the end.

“So what happened was when he got slammed by Holland, he felt a pop in his neck so he verbally tapped,” White explained during the UFC Vegas 12 post-fight show (via Damon Martin of MMA Fighting). “Because he said that we just took every precaution. He got examined, he got CAT scans or x-rays or whatever they did to him and the kid’s 100 percent. He’s OK. I think he’s going to have a stiff neck, some muscular stuff but he’s healthy.”

There is no time frame yet for when Ontiveros will return to action, as the medical suspensions have yet to be released by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC).
