It appears as if CM Punk has his eyes set on AEW and AEW only.
According to MMA Fighting, Phil Brooks, better known to the masses as CM Punk has officially retired from the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.
Punk (0-1, 1NC) hasn't competed inside of the UFC octagon since 2018 where he was on the wrong end of a lopsided unanimous decision against Mike Jackson at UFC 225 which was eventually overturned to a no-contest due to Jackson testing positive for tetrahydrocannabinol due to marijuana.
Surprsingly enough, Punk has since remained in the USADA testing pool and was tested six times in 2020 alone.
However Punk removed himself from the testing pool earlier this year after notifying the UFC about his retirement to return to professional wrestling, where he made his debut with AEW on the 8/20 edition of AEW Rampage.
Since his departure from the UFC, Punk has remained tied to MMA and has been part of the commentary team for the East coast-based MMA promotion Cage Fury Fighting Championships.
