Colby Covington is making a lot of enemies as of late, whether those enemies are the people of Brazil or UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley.
Kenny Florian is a retired UFC fighter and an analyst on UFC Tonight, where the former fighter recently brought up Covington’s potential path to a title shot:
How does @ColbyCovMMA (and others) get a path to a title shot? @TWooodley has the answers! https://t.co/k4y5E166zB
— FOX Sports: UFC (@UFCONFOX) December 14, 2017
Covington would eventually check out the analysis done by Florian and he would issue a response through Twitter:
We all know #TwoFaceTyrone @TWooodley, we expect lies from him. But @kennyflorian you were 5-2 and got a title shot because when people squinted it looked like Sean Sherk was fighting Ben Stiller. You know better #SimpleJack https://t.co/hsH5iAtzNe

That comment would Covington would spark an all to brief back and forth with Florian:
Ah yes, Colby Covington who uses gay slurs, now trying his best to insult referencing people with disabilities. A true class act ladies and gentlemen. -- Maybe after your lawsuit with Werdum you can find the time for a title shot. Watch out for that boomerang effect. https://t.co/Ofu9KUCT6T

Oh hi Kenny! I thought you got fired by fox for plagiarizing? Mustve been #fakenews huh? Tell you what, after I beat Tyrone, I give you permission to come out of retirement and lose another title fight. You don't even have to beat Alex Karalexis, Kit Cope and Sam Stout this time. https://t.co/BfXwtdvlQd

Not one to leave others out of the spotlight, a former professional wrestler turned MMA fighter in CM Punk would be next on Covington’s Twitter hit list. Although when it comes to Punk, one has to wonder why Covington went off on him without provocation or boomerang related incident.
Speaking of plagiarizing... @CMPunk, you ever pay Kenta for stealing all his moves? Too bad you can't steal mine to win a real fight you poser.

Punk has competed just once in the UFC and as a professional MMA fighter, which was a first round loss to Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in 2016.
The welterweight contender has been angling for a title shot for quite awhile now, but the wait will have to gone on for a little longer after welterweight champion Tyron Woodley recently announced that he was getting shoulder surgery soon.
