Conor McGregor Congratulates Khabib Nurmagomedov: “Good Performance”

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov retired shortly after becoming the undisputed champion earlier today at UFC 254 and arguably the biggest rival of Nurmagomedov during his professional MMA career was Conor McGregor.

McGregor posted the following to Twitter a short time after Nurmagomedov retired:

Nurmagomedov and McGregor met once in the UFC, which was a fourth-round submission win in the main event of UFC 229. The rivalry between Nurmagomedov and McGregor has stretched for more than a year, with McGregor taking a lot of personal jabs at Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov would jump the Octagon was after defeated McGregor at UFC 229 to go after members of McGregor’s team.

There has been no response from Nurmagomedov to McGregor at this time.
