UFC heavyweight contenders Curtis Blaydes and Tom Aspinall are set to headline the Octagon's return to London, England on July 23.
Journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works on the latest edition of his show The MMA Hour, with MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn also providing additional reporting on the bout. Aspinall has been dominant in his UFC run so far, the 29-year-old Liverpool native has gone 5-0 in his five Octagon appearances, and is coming off of a first-round submission win over Alexander Volkov back at UFC Fight Night 204. Blaydes meanwhile is 6-1 in his last seven fights and will look to build on a second-round TKO victory over Chris Daukaus at UFC on ESPN 33.
