Cyborg May Have Accidentally Revealed Which Promotion She Is Signing With

Former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cyborg has been a free agent since the UFC decided to get out of the “Cyborg business.”

A free agent Cyborg has yet to sign with a promotion, but may have accidentally revealed where she is signing during a recent interview.

“I’ve passed through many cycles already and in a cycle there is always beginning, middle, and end,” Cyborg said in an interview through her official Youtube channel (via Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting). “Invicta had an end Bellator - no, [laughing] not Bellator yet - the UFC had a beginning, middle, and end. Strikeforce. So I’m starting a new cycle. I’m happy, anxious, looking forward to starting. It’s good to start new projects and I’m looking forward to that.”

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker had expressed interested in signing Cyborg, as the two have previously worked together in Strikeforce.

One thing Cyborg expects is to be a more active fighter in the future, no matter which promotion she signs with next.

“When I ended my cycle with the UFC, I had two choices,” Cyborg said. “The option I chose, where I am now is the option where I see my future grow. I’ll be fighting more times a year, I won’t have any trouble, I’ll be happy. That’s what I see.”

Julia Budd is the current Bellator MMA Women’s Featherweight Champion and she has also expressed an interest in fighting Cyborg.
