Dana White: “I Do” Think Khabib Nurmagomedov Will Stay Retired

UFC President Dana White is convinced Khabib Nurmagomedov will stay retired.

Dana White witnessed the final professional MMA fight of Khabib Nurmagomedov. "The Eagle"  retired after defeating Justin Gaethje to become the undisputed UFC lightweight champion in the main event of UFC 254.

Many MMA retirements do not last, but White believes Nurmagomedov’s retirement will.

“I do (think he’ll stay retired),” White said at the UFC 254 post-fight press conference (via Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie).

Nurmagomedov leaves MMA with a professional record of 29-0-0 and that includes three successful defenses of the UFC lightweight title. White is also proclaiming that Nurmagomedov is the baddest mother fucker on the planet.

“He is the baddest mother fucker on the planet,” White said. “I can tell it almost smelled like an upset tonight the way that he reacted at the weigh-ins, the way that he acted when he was walking out tonight. He didn’t look like himself. Breathing heavy and taking deep breaths. But wow.”
