The UFC is a little over a week away from returning to action with UFC 249, which is going to be headlined by former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson facing former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje for the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Championship.

One of the more highly anticipated aspects of the UFC’s return during the coronavirus pandemic is “Fight Island,” which should be operational by June.

UFC President Dana White recently partook in a Reddit AMA and when asked about “Fight Island,” revealed that it is going to be around for a long time.

“It's gonna be interesting how this thing plays out over the next year or so, which is exactly why the investment into ‘Fight Island’ makes so much sense for me” White wrote (via Mike Heck of MMA Fighting). “Who knows how sports will change after this pandemic... it’s gonna be an interesting year. Fight Island is going to be around for a while.”

White was also asked during the Reddit AMA about the location of “Fight Island” and he didn’t reveal much about that.

“Can’t send location yet,” White wrote.

Although the UFC is expected to run multiple events in June, no dates for “Fight Island” have been revealed at this time.
