Khamzat Chimaev has picked up three impressive wins under the UFC banner and those performances have impressed UFC President Dana White.

Although Chimaev’s next fight hasn’t been revealed at that time, it will be a main event bout according to White, who also revealed the location for the encounter.

“No, he’ll fight in Vegas,” White said at the UFC 253 pre-fight press conference (via Farah Hannou & John Morgan of MMA Junkie).

Chimaev also commented on the opportunity to headline at UFC card on Twitter:

There was talk at one point that Chimaev would face Demian Maia next, it is unknown if that bout is still on the table right now. The UFC is holding events on Fight Island through October, so Chimaev’s main event opportunity won’t be coming until November at the earliest.
