Dana White Says Tyron Woodley “Full Of Sh*t” About Potential Nate Diaz Bout

MMA

UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley has claimed that negotiations are underway for a bout against Nate Diaz, potentially happening this July at UFC 226.

Dana White is the UFC President and he is saying that the welterweight champion is “full of sh*t” about a bout with Diaz.

“[Woodley’s] full of sh*t,” White said on UFC Tonight. “That fight was never made, you couldn’t be more wrong, he couldn’t be more full of sh*t, and it’s absolutely not true. It’s so not true that our lawyer hit him up today and said he needs to stop saying these kind of things, because it’s absolutely not true.”

Diaz seemed to back up the claim made by Woodley, even calling the welterweight champion a logical opponent for his return to the Octagon.

White has claimed before that former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos is next for Woodley, something the UFC President reiterated on UFC Tonight.

“Dos Anjos is the fight we’re looking at for Woodley,” White said. “That’s the fair fight, he just won a great fight against Robbie Lawler and looked good and what I love about that fight is dos Anjos will bring it. He will come after Tyron Woodley and it will be a great fight. That’s the fight that’s gonna happen.”

Woodley is still on the shelf after getting shoulder surgery, but the champion has claimed in the past that he would be ready to go by first quarter 2018.
