Undefeated, undisputed lightweight champion, Devin Haney, and former unified champ, Vasiliy Lomachenko are likely to clash in 2023.
Inside Boxing Live's Dan Canobbio was the first to report the news via a tweet that a Haney-Lomachenko showdown is being targeted for May 20, although both fighters' promoter Top Rank has yet to officially announce anything regarding the bout.
Haney is the current king at 135 pounds in boxing, holding all four belts in the weight class, and sits at 29-0 as a pro. He's coming off a unanimous decision victory over former undisputed champ, George Kambosos Jr. in their rematch back in October. Lomachenko meanwhile is 17-2 as a pro currently and returned to the ring this past fall, after defending his home country of Ukraine during the ongoing invasion from Russia. He will look to build on a unanimous decision win over Jamaine Ortiz also back in October.
