Adrian Granados has always been a tough fighter for anyone to face regardless of their abilities, but rarely do we ever see Granados win the big fights he’s had in his career.
Whether it would be a fight against Javier Fortuna ending in a no decision, giving Shawn Porter a tough matchup in 2017 or a controversial split decision loss to Adrien Broner, Granados has yet to be on the winning side against a top caliber opponent. Which is why Granados’ next fight against Danny Garcia on April 20 is all the more important for him to win and prove he deserves a spot at the table among the elite at 140 and 147 pounds.
In a recent media conference call, Granados spoke about the importance of his fight against Garcia, who is coming out of a loss to Porter with the WBC welterweight title on the line last September.
“I'm coming to win this fight. I'm tired of the controversy. I'm tired of them finding any way to not give me the win. I definitely got to come in and really just take the fight, they're not going to give me the fight ever. So I'm going to go out there and have to take it,” Granados said.
Garcia vs. Granados will headline a PBC on Fox card from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on April 20. You can listen to Garcia and Granados talking to Fightful on the Fightful MMA & Boxing YouTube channel at this link.
