Hannah Cifers is set to make her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night Denver, fighting as a late replacement against Maycee Barber.
Had Cifers not gotten the call from the UFC, it looked like a potential bout was lining up for her this December for the Invicta FC promotion.
“Not right away, I was trying to book a fight with Invicta for probably December and I got this offer, it was really surprising,” says Cifers in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Cifers will enter the UFC while riding a five fight winning streak, plus she has previously competed against UFC veterans Gillian Robertson and Heather Clark.
The newest female fighter on the UFC fighter doesn’t know how things will play out at UFC Fight Night Denver, but expects a good fight either way.
“I think its gonna be a pretty good fight, I’d like to win…but we’ll see how it goes on that night,” says Cifers.
UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Chan Sung Jung and Yair Rodriguez headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
