Report: Hannah Cifers Replaces Maia Stevenson At UFC Fight Night Denver

Maia Stevenson is no longer going to be competing at UFC Fight Night Denver according to James Lynch of Fightful, replacing her against Maycee Barber is going to be Hannah Cifers.

Barber (5-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over a year. Barber competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, defeating Jamie Colleen by third round TKO. Barber has seen just one of her five professional MMA bouts go the distance and that came against Mallory Martin at LFA 22.

Cifers (8-2-0) will make her UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Cifers has suffered just two defeats as a professional MMA fighter, with both of those losses coming to a pair of UFC veterans in Heather Clark and Gillian Robertson. Cifers is also a former US Freedom Fighters Championship Women’s Strawweight Champion, a belt she won as an amateur competitor.

UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
