Francisco Trinaldo Faces John Makdessi At UFC Fight Night Brasilia

A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Brasilia as Francisco Trinaldo is in action against John Makdessi.

The UFC Brasil Twitter page announced the bout, but its slot on the card isn’t known at this time.

Trinaldo (24-7-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last seven UFC appearances, with the latest bout being a unanimous decision win over Bobby Green at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Trinaldo has seen his last two bouts go the distance and it has been over a year since the fighter earned a finish. Trinaldo has picked up twenty four wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them have come by way of decision.

Makdessi (17-6-0) enters the bout riding a three fight winning streak, picking up victories over Abel Trujillo, Ross Pearson and Jesus Pinedo. Makdessi hasn’t suffered a loss in over three years, with that last defeat coming to Lando Vannata at UFC 206. Makdessi has fought just once a year in the last three years, with 2015 being the last time he competed multiple times in a calendar year.

UFC Fight Night Brasilia takes place on Saturday, March 14 from the Ginasio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
