Jeremy Kennedy earned his second win in the UFC this past weekend at UFC Fight Night 106. The win for Kennedy came over Rony Jason, whom the featherweight star claims is a reckless fighter.
“He kind of threw me off with how confident he was on the feet, just sitting down on his punches kind of reckless,” Kennedy said after the event. “I got a little flat-footed, which I didn’t like. I kind of had to adjust there.”
Kennedy and Jason competed in the featured prelim on the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card. Brazil itself provided quite the challenge for Kennedy, mainly in the form of humidity.
“Humidity was a little bit of (an issue), the sleeping, I just wasn’t comfortable all week,” Kennedy said. “Even though I love Brazil, the temperature was different, the weather was different, the humidity, the food. It was hard finding food that I liked. … Just little things like that, I underestimated.”
Besides the 2-0-0 record in the UFC, the undefeated fighter has an overall record of 10-0-0.
