UFC light heavyweight contenders, Johnny Walker and Jamahal Hill will now be the new main event of next Saturday's UFC Vegas 48 card from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to report the news of the light heavyweight bout being promoted to the headlining bout for the event. The switch comes after the originally scheduled main event between former UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos, and Rafael Fiziev was postponed to UFC 272 in March.
Walker is 1-3 in his last four fights and will try to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to former UFC title challenger, Thiago Santos, at UFC Vegas 38. Hill on the other hand is 2-1 in his last three Octagon appearances and is coming off of a 48-second knockout victory over Jimmy Crute at UFC Vegas 44.
