Jon Jones Goes Off On Israel Adesanya, Dana White Open To Fight

UFC Interim Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker will collide in the main event of UFC 243.

Adesanya and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones have had traded shots at each other over the last few months, but Jones recently took to Twitter to go off on the interim champion:

It would appear that the ever growing rivalry between Jones and Adesanya could be settled in the Octagon, as UFC President Dana White seems open to the bout.

“Those guys have been talking smack back and forth,” White said to Sky Sports New Zealand (via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie). “If Israel wins and he really does want to fight Jon Jones, that’s a really big fight.”

UFC 243 takes place on Saturday, October 5 from the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia with Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
