The co-main event has been announced for the upcoming Legacy Fighting Alliance 66 card and it is a clash of UFC veterans as Josh Burkman is going to be in action against William Macario.
Burkman (28-17-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a five fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in over three years. Burkman had two separate runs in the UFC, earning an overall record of 6-12-0-1NC during that time in the promotion. Burkman is also going to be competing for the first time in over a year, as his last bout took place at UFC Fight Night Austin in February of 2018.
Macario (9-4-0) is winless thus far under the LFA banner, having dropped a bout to Ramiz Brahimaj at LFA 47 in August of 2018. Macario went 1-3-0 during his time in the UFC and that lone win came against Bobby Voelker at UFC 168 in December of 2013. Macario has competed thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and only two of those bouts went the distance.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 66 takes place on Friday, May 10 from the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah with Tyler Diamond and Joe Neal headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
