A rematch between undefeated, former undisputed junior welterweight champion, Josh Taylor, and contender Jack Catterall, has been scheduled for February 4 at a yet-to-be-announced venue in the United Kingdom.
ESPN's Mike Coppinger was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works via a tweet, although no official announcement has yet to be made regarding the bout. Taylor vacated his WBA, WBC, and IBF titles earlier this year due to him passing on mandatory title defenses in favor of a second fight with Catterall. The pair's first meeting went down back in February from the OVO Hydro also in Glasgow, Scotland with Taylor taking a controversial split-decision victory.
