Khabib Nurmagomedov Would Not Coach Opposite Conor McGregor For "5 Billion Dollars"

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor’s rivalry may never come to an end, but one person who is putting it behind him is Nurmagomedov.

The UFC lightweight champion recently revealed that he wouldn’t coach opposite of McGregor the Ultimate Fighter 29, even if he was offered $5 billion.

“This Ultimate Fighter with him,” Nurmagomedov said to ESPN. “This is good attention for him. I don’t want to give him this. I never give him this. Even if they gave me 5 billion dollar - even if they give me UFC (ownership)- I’ll never do this. This is good attention for him. It’s done – everything is done. (On) October 6, I finished him and I finished everything about him.”

Nurmagomedov and McGregor met for the first and only time at UFC 229, with Nurmagomedov picking up a fourth round submission win on that night.

One thing that Nurmagomedov is looking forward to is new challenges, with the first of those being Justin Gaethje.

“I had new challenges – Dustin Poirier, now, Justin Gaethje,” Nurmagomedov said. “We’ll see who’s going to be next but I don’t think it’s going to be Conor McGregor.”
