A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till as Khamzat Chimaev faces Rhys McKee.
UFC President Dana White revealed the bout during the UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez II post-fight press conference.
Chimaev (7-0-0) made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige, defeating John Phillips by second round submission. Chimaev is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted over two years. Chimaev has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went past the second round.
McKee (10-2-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak. McKee is a former BAMMA Lightweight Champion, defeating Jai Herbert to win the gold at BAMMA 27. McKee has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till takes place on Saturday, July 25 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Robert Whittaker and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
