A middleweight division affair is a late addition to this Sunday Nights UFC Fight Night Austin card as Oskar Piechota is in action against Tim Williams.
Piechota (10-0-1) has already competed once under the UFC banner, defeating Jonathan Wilson by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Gdansk. Piechota also competed once in the Cage Warriors promotion, defeating Jason Radcliffe by first round TKO at CWFC 85. Piechota has only seen two of his professional MMA fights go the distance, holding a 1-0-1 record in those encounters.
Williams (15-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so while on the strength of a five bout winning streak. Williams has already defeated three UFC veterans during his professional MMA career, with those big show vets being Jay Silva, Nah-Shon Burrell and Ron Stallings. Williams hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost three years and that last loss came to another UFC veteran in Anthony Smith.
UFC Fight Night Austin takes place on Sunday, February 18 from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas with Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
