Leon Edwards Says He’s Still In The UFC Rankings, Has An Exchange With Khamzat Chimaev

Leon Edwards hasn’t competed since July of 2019 and the lack of Octagon time has finally caught up to the fighter because the UFC decided to move him out of the rankings, which led to an exchange with Khamzat Chimaev on Twitter.

Edwards took to Twitter to not only deny he was removed from the rankings and also challenge Chimaev to a fight:

Chimaev would respond with the following on Twitter:

“I’m always ready to fight. Let’s go. Rock'n'roll baby.”

As of October 23, Edwards is still off the UFC welterweight division rankings, as Belal Muhammad has been moved into the top 15 at #15, while Jorge Masvidal now sits in Edwards’ old spot of #3.
