UFC strawweight contenders Mackenzie Dern and Yan Xiaonan are set to headline a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on October 1.
ESPN's Brett Okamoto was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works, although the promotion has yet to officially announce anything itself regarding the bout or event. Dern is 5-1 in her last six Octagon appearances and is coming off of a split-decision victory over Tecia Torres at UFC 273. Xiaonan meanwhile is riding a two-fight losing streak currently and will look to bounce back from a split-decision loss to Martin Rodriguez at UFC 272.
