Mayweather Promotions, which is ran and operated by legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather, has reserved the MGM Grand for August 26.
This is according to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Although nothing is confirmed as of this writing, the venue could have potentially been reserved for the long rumored super fight between Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
Just a few short hours ago, the UFC Lightweight Champion also made the following post on Instagram:
Also, according the the Nevada State Athletic Commission, a boxing event has been approved for August 26 at the very same venue.
While August 26 is just a rumored date for the potential super fight, a Showtime executive previously stated the potential fight would happen in the fall.
