A catchweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 237 as Michael Page is in action against Shinsho Anzai.
The bout was announced by Bellator through their Instagram page.
Page (16-1-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Richard Kiely and Giovanni Melillo. Page has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Bellator Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima at Bellator 221. Page has picked up sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Anzai (11-3-0) has been undefeated since getting the boot from the UFC, having defeated Yoichiro Sato by technical decision at Deep 91. Anzai won two of four during his time in the UFC, with those wins coming over the duo of Roger Zapata and Luke Jumeau. Anzai has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter, but none of them have come by way of submission.
Bellator 237 takes place on Saturday, December 28 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan with Fedor Emelianenko and Rampage Jackson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
