Undefeated Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov will not be defending his title against Michael "Venom" Page on May 13 at Bellator 281 in London, England.
The promotion officially made the announcement today via a tweet, revealing that Logan Storley would be stepping in for Amosov, and will face Page for an interim title. Amosov is currently fighting to defend his home country of Ukraine during the ongoing Russian invasion, sadly forcing him out of the matchup with Page. Bellator President Scott Coker spoke about the events in Ukraine and sent well wishes to the Ukrainian champion during these difficult times.
“Like the rest of the world, we’ve been shocked by the tragic events in Ukraine and the thoughts of everyone at Bellator MMA are with Yaroslav and all the Ukrainian people during this time,” Coker said (h/t MMA Fighting). “We wish he and his family the best and look forward to seeing him return safely to happier times, both inside and out of the Bellator cage.”

Page is currently riding a six-fight winning streak and defeated Douglas Lima in his latest bout, taking a split-decision victory in their rematch back at Bellator 267 in the promotion's last trip to London. Storley meanwhile is 4-1 in his last five outings and will try to build on a unanimous decision win over Neiman Gracie at Bellator 274.
