Former UFC women's bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate and former title challenger Lauren Murphy are now set to collide at UFC on ABC 3 on July 16 in Long Island, New York.
The promotion officially confirmed the news via a press release on Monday. The pair were originally scheduled to meet at this weekend's UFC 276 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas, Nevada, but had to postpone their meeting a few weeks due to Murphy testing positive for COVID-19. Tate moves down to the flyweight division after going 1-3 in her last four Octagon appearances and will try to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Ketlen Vieira back at UFC Vegas 43. Murphy meanwhile is 5-1 in her last six fights and is coming off of a fourth-round TKO loss to reigning UFC women's flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, at UFC 266.
