Bellator lightweight champion, Patricky "Pitbull" Freire is set to make his first title defense against Sidney Outlaw at Bellator 283 on July 22 at the Emerald Hotel and Casino in Tacoma, Washington.
MMA Junkie's Nolan King was the first to report the event being in the works, while the promotion officially announced the card themselves on Tuesday via a tweet. Freire is 2-2 in his last four fights and is coming off of a second-round TKO win over Peter Queally at Bellator 270. Outlaw meanwhile is currently on a two-fight winning streak and will look to build on a third-round submission victory over Myles Jury back at Bellator 261 last June.
Heartbreak for Peter Queally and this Dublin crowd.
