Report: Aaron Phillips Injured, Off UFC Vegas 12

Aaron Phillips has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been pulled from UFC Vegas 12, where he was scheduled to face Adrian Yanez.

Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA first reported the news. Yanez is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement opponent for him to fight.

Yanez (11-3-0) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so while riding a four-fight win streak. Yanez competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 28, defeating Brady Huang by first round TKO. Yanez has picked up six of 11 professional MMA wins by KO/TKO.

UFC Vegas 12 takes place on Saturday, October 31 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed for the event.
