A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Singapore according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA (citing Albu’s Instagram) as Aleksandra Albu is going to be in action against Loma Lookboonmee.
Albu (3-1-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over the duo of Izabela Badurek and Kailin Curran. Albu has competed just once outside of the UFC during her professional MMA career, which was a first round TKO win over Lyubov Demidova at an Octagon Fight Club event in 2013. Albu has competed a total of four times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those encounters went the distance.
Lookboonmee (3-1-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a one fight winning streak. Lookboonmee is coming off of a one fight stint in Invicta FC, where she defeated Monique Adriane by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 35. Lookboonmee has picked up three wins as a professional MMA fighter and two of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Singapore takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore with Ben Askren and Demian Maia headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
