Roman Kopylov has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg according to Denis Geyko of RT Sports News, replacing him against Krzysztof Jotko is Alen Amedovski.
Jotko (19-4-0) will enter the bout while in the midst of a three fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the trio of David Branch, Uriah Hall and Brad Tavares. Jotko hasn’t picked up a win in over two years, with that last victory coming over Thales Leites at UFC Fight Night 100. Jotko has seen thirteen of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter picked up wins in twelve of those encounters.
Amedovski (8-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over six years. Amedovski has competed twice before under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating the duo of Ibrahim Mane and Will Fleury. Amedovski has competed eight times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went past the second round.
UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg takes place on Saturday, April 20 from the Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg, Russia with Alexander Volkov and Alistair Overeem headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
