Report: Alessio Sakara vs. Canaan Grigsby Headlines Bellator 230

A light heavyweight division attraction is going to be headlining Bellator 230 according to MMA Fighting as Alessio Sakara is going to be in action against Canaan Grigsby. 

Sakara (20-13-0-2NC) has won three of five under the Bellator MMA banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Brian Rogers, Joey Beltran and Jamie Sloane. Sakara has previously challenged for the Bellator MMA Middleweight Title, losing to then champion Rafael Carvalho at Bellator 190. Sakara is also a longtime veteran of the UFC, earning an overall record of 6-8-0-1NC in the promotion.

Grigsby (8-7-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so while in the midst of a two fight losing streak. Grigsby is also going to be returning to action for the first time in over two years, with his last bout happening in May of 2017. Grigsby has picked up a total of eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

Bellator 230 takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Ex Palalido in Milan, Italy with Alessio Sakara and Canaan Grigsby headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which is going to be airing on the Paramount Network.
