A lightweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC event this April as Tristan Connelly faces Alex Da Silva.
Combate first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Connelly (14-6-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Michel Pereira by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Vancouver. Connelly has previously held two belts before signing with the UFC, as he is a former CageSport and Rise Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion. Connelly has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them came by way of submission.
Da Silva (21-2-0) has won just one of two thus far in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Rodrigo Vargas at UFC Fight Night Uruguay. Da Silva has competed a total of twenty three times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance. Da Silva has picked up twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and thirteen of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
The yet to be announced UFC event is scheduled for Saturday, April 11 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
