A welterweight division encounter has been added to the Bellator 203 card according to Tass.ru as Andrey Koreshkov faces Vaso Bakocevic.
Koreshkov (20-2-0) has won eleven of thirteen fights under the Bellator MMA banner, last defeating Chidi Njokuani by first round TKO at Bellator 182. Koreshkov is a former Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion, defeating Douglas Lima to win the gold at Bellator 140. Koreshkov has suffered two defeats as a professional MMA fighter, with both of them coming to former Bellator MMA Welterweight Champions in the aforementioned Douglas Lima and Ben Askren.
Bakocevic (33-17-1) is making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a seven bout winning streak. Bakocevic has already competed three times this year, with all of those fights and wins coming by way of KO/TKO. Bakocevic has previously challenged for the Irish Fist Gym Vendetta Welterweight Title, losing to then champion Sado Ucar by unanimous decision in February of 2017.
