A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to the June 13 UFC card as Ariane Lipski faces Luana Carolina.
Combate first reported the news, as the bout was originally set for UFC Fight Night San Diego.
Lipski (12-5-0) has won just one of three thus far under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Isabela De Padua by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale. Lipski is a former KSW MMA Women’s Flyweight Champion, defeating Silvana Gomez Juarez to win the gold at KSW 42. Lipski has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Carolina (6-1-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, defeating Priscila Cachoeira by unanimous decision at UFC 237. Carolina also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil Episode 3, defeating Mabelly Lima by unanimous decision. Carolina has competed a total of seven times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those encounters went the distance.
The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, June 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
