A women’s featherweight division bout is slated for Bellator 206 according to the Geelong Advertiser as Arlene Blencowe is in action against Amber Leibrock.
Blencowe (10-7-0) is competing for the first time since losing a Bellator Women’s Featherweigt Title shot to Julia Budd at Bellator 189. Blencowe has won three of six under the Bellator MMA banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Adrienna Jenkins, Gabrielle Holloway and Sinead Kavanagh. Blencowe has seen her last two fights go the distance and it has been over a year since the fighter got a finish.
Leibrock (3-1-0) is currently undefeated in Bellator MMA competition, having defeated Janay Harding by unanimous decision at Bellator 199. Leibrock has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter, with that loss coming to UFC veteran Megan Anderson at Invicta FC 15. Leibrock also went undefeated during her time as an amateur MMA fighter, which includes a win over Invicta FC veteran Pam Sorenson.
Bellator 206 takes place on Saturday, September 29 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California with Gegard Mousasi and Gegard Mousasi headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which is going to be streaming live on DAZN.
