A report from Aaron Bronsteter of TSN is stating that Berdon has been released from jail after posting a $75,000 bond.
Berdon had allegedly caused Ostovich to suffer a broken orbital bone during the alleged attack, plus Ostovich was forced to pull out of a bout against Paige VanZant at UFC Fight Night Brooklyn. Outside of the broken orbital bone, an injured Ostovich also said that she was coughing up blood and vomiting after the attack.
The charge of suspicion of second degree attempted murder has also been reclassified to a second degree assault charge, meaning that Berdon won’t face a potential life sentence if he goes to trial and is found guilty.
That charges was apparently modified while Berdon was still in jail according to Bronsteter, but no reason has been given at this time as to why the change was made.
Ostovich still has a temporary restraining order again Berdon, no word yet on whether or not that has been modified due to the charges against Berdon being changed. It is also unknown how long the temporary restraining order will last.
