Report: Artem Lobov Signs With Bare Knuckle FC

Another former UFC star is making his way to the sport of bare knuckle boxing because recently released featherweight Artem Lobov has signed a deal with Bare Knuckle FC.

Ariel Helwani of ESPN first broke the news, stating that the contract is for three fights and Lobov will get a six figure payout, although an exact financial number was not released. Helwani also reports that Lobov will get pay-per-view points and will debut against another former UFC fighter in Jason Knight on a yet to be announced card on April 20.

The former UFC star will also be allowed to fight and/or sign with MMA promotions will under a contract to Bare Knuckle FC. Lobov has called out several MMA promotions to sign him since getting released by the UFC, but no deal has been made at this time.

Bare Knuckle FC has a host of former UFC fighters on their roster, including Johnny Bedford, Joey Beltran, Kendall Grove, Chris Lytle, Estevan Payan, Bec Rawlings, Joe Riggs, Ricco Rodriguez and more.

Lobov went 2-5-0 during a seven fight stint with the UFC and was last seen in action at UFC Fight Night Moncton, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Michael Johnson.
