A catchweight division encounter is reportedly set for the Bellator 197 card according to MMA Fighting as Baby Slice potentially faces Devon Brock.
Slice (2-1-0) enters the contest in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Darryal Griffin and Fred Freeman. Slice has only seen one of his professional MMA fights go past the first round and that came in a losing effort to Aaron Hamilton at Bellator 165. Slice also went undefeated during his brief amateur MMA career, defeating Tom Brink at Warrior Nation XFA 12 in March 2016.
Brock (1-0-0) made his professional MMA debut earlier this year at Bellator 192, defeating Khonry Gracie by unanimous decision. Brock also went undefeated during his one fight stint as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Jordan Durr by third round submission at Fight Club OC: Summerfist 8 in June 2017. Brock has seen both of his professional/amateur MMA bouts go to the third round and only one of those bouts went the distance.
Bellator 197 takes place on Friday, April 13 from the Family Arena in St. Louis, Missouri with Brent Primus and Michael Chandler headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
