Report: Battlefield FC Finally Pays Fighters

MMA

A little over a year ago on March 18 of 2017, a new promotion in Battlefield Fighting Championships held their inaugural event in Seoul, South Korea.

The event featured some top MMA fighters, including former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion Sarah Kaufman, UFC fighter Jessica-Rose Clark, Jorge Patino, Joe Ray, Igor Svirid and a host of others.

However, despite all the bouts going off without a hitch, a problem did arise in that none of the fighters who competed on the card got paid.

Things have taken a turn for the better according to MMA Fighting because they are reporting that the promotion has now paid all 24 fighters who competed on the card.

MMA Fighting also reports that Kaufman was paid $20,000 for the encounter, while Clark and Ray received $7,000 each. There is no report at this time as to what amounts the rest of the fighters who competed at the event were paid.

Battlefield FC has yet to run another event since their debut effort last March and there are no events scheduled at the moment. The promotion has also been inactive on social media as well, with their last Facebook post taking place on April of 2017.
