A new threat is making his way over to the Bellator MMA Bantamweight Division as Lucas Brennan has reportedly signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.
MMA Junkie first reported the signing, but hadn’t revealed the length of the contract and any financial numbers associated with said contract.
Brennan (1-0-0) made his promotional debut back at Bellator 224 in July of 2019, defeating Thomas Lopez by way of first round submission. Brennan also went undefeated during a run as an amateur MMA fighter, having picked up wins over the duo of Diara Culpepper and Christopher Williams. Brennan is also the son of former professional MMA fighter and UFC veteran Chris Brennan, who fought such competition as John Alessio, Thomas Denny, Takanori Gomi, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Antonio McKee, Pat Miletich, Vitor Ribeiro, Shannon Ritch and Joe Stevenson in his career.
The report from MMA Junkie also states that Brennan is expected to be back in action at Bellator 233 this November, but nothing has been made official at this time. Brennan will enter a weight class currently ruled by Darrion Caldwell, who is competing in the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix.
